Lanier VW-210 VW 210 Transcriber with Microcassette, Pedal, and Headset Review

Was glad to find this on Revain. I've been using this brand for many years now and when mine finally broke I was worried I wouldn't be able to find another. However, I went to the internet and there it is. I've had it for almost a year now and it's working well so far. I use this for home transcription and once it comes out I'll probably stop doing this kind of work. I just don't like modern ones. Sometimes older is better.

I've been a medical transcriptionist for about 35 years and Lanier is by far the best microcassette typewriter I've ever used. Too bad they are almost impossible to find now. Although I work professionally with an online dictation system, I still have private customers (small/single practices) who still use cassettes. I scour the internet about twice a year hoping to find a used or refurbished Lanier.

Bought for the office - hard to find now and we're not quite ready to just go digital. It arrived quickly and the person who wanted to use it was on vacation. It looked good, but when she came back and tried to use it, it wasn't working. It wouldn't open to put tape. I called the company and spoke to Fred who was very helpful and accommodating.
