Excellent lens, the best of lenses

Works great and is a fantastic lens with amazing capabilities from infinity focus to 2x macro. Because of its incredible performance, this is my new everyday lens.

Pros

Cons
  • Not the best

Steady She relies on SLR lenses

Not impressed. I have a Nikkor 105 and a Tamron 90mm macro, this lens is for those macro photographers who have the patience and a tripod for 2X otherwise find a modern day stabilized macro.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Secret

Perfect. for lenses

I love this lens. It's as good as any of my other Laowa lenses. I love Laowa lenses for their quality and most importantly for making lenses that no one else makes. Keep it up Laov.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • So-so

Excellent manual lens. fits camera lenses

Okay, this is a manual macro lens. It's very solidly built. For 2 you need a lot of light. The depth of field can be very subtle, but I really like the lens. Wonderful. At first I was concerned after reading other people's bad experiences. Their quality control must have gotten a lot better.

Pros
  • feels good
Cons

Camera impression so far and photo

For a good start, this fly is one of the first photos I took of it in 2:1 on my Z6. It's a fairly modest lens, but it feels solid. I replaced my Tamron 90mm G2 with this so I didn't have to use extension tubes to get more than 1:1 magnification. No complaints at all!

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Factor set

Incredibly sharp in camera lenses

Autofocus hasn't been missed until now, because for macro photography you still adjust the focus to focus on the area you want, and it's easy enough to use manual focus for portraits or stop street photography. Not too heavy, but not the lightest either. 2x definitely takes some practice, but the 1:1 magnification can be done without a tripod if you have steady hands. Definitely recommend this lens

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • No insurance

So far, so good. suitable for SLR camera lenses

I love this lens. I knew it was manual focus when ordering, but I wasn't aware that this version has a manual iris. I agree, I just don't like how easy it is to push it to a different setting. This is my only complaint. I experimented with the aperture settings very quickly and found that F4 or 8 worked best. Full aperture is not the best setting for sharpness, but it is more than satisfactory.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • For old ones

The optics of this lens are just amazing. I think if you're working on static subjects with a tripod, this is one of the best macro lenses you can buy at any price point, but otherwise don't expect versatility or ease of shooting. Not ideal for portrait photography with a DSLR unless you are very experienced at manually focusing with a long lens. If you're shooting with a film SLR or a top-focus mirrorless camera, you're fine. I have concerns about the build quality. It feels very snug and…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Sad packaging
