Adapted 1/2 " propane hose to power my generator

LASCO 17-5833 3/8" female to 1/2" male Brass The adapter is a Well made item. I used this to connect a larger 1/2" propane hose to the 3/8" feed fitting on my generator. Fits snug, doesn't leak and works great!

Pros
  • 3/8" female x 1/2" male
Cons
  • Interchangeable

The picture is misleading and had to be sawed off

The second picture is misleading: it does not come with a copper torch ring insert. I also had to file the female end to make sure it would fit properly. It should still work fine, but it's not what I expected and I wouldn't want to do the extra feed step.

Pros
  • Female torch via torch adapter
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Excellent quality, suitable for rough installations

Excellent fit. I had to cut .200" from the top of the female fitting to allow the male flare valve to sit in place. This fitting was quite deep and the valve I had had a shoulder preventing it from flaring out to connect to this faucet. Otherwise it's great value for money. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Pros
  • Not for use in drinking water systems
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Trying to convert weber bbq to ng. Tries to .

Trying to convert Weber barbecue to ng. Tried using this to connect to a spigot on the manifold where propane would normally go, but the female end is too low so the male end never touches the flared bottom. Probably still usable with pipe/grease and/or teflon, but there's no point in having a flared end. Maybe I'll try to use it where it's not intended. However, this is a quality product.

Pros
  • 0.95 inches long
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
