These reverse lights have a very thick section that needs to fit in the same socket as the halogen bulb. You actually have to use a thin flat head to push the metal connectors out a bit to make them fit. When indoors they are very light and very white. They complement any other white light you might have (fog lights, headlights, headlights). If you've swapped out your headlights, they'll go together nicely, so you can't go wrong in the back.

The next day after installing it in my bedside lamp, I had the problem of my key fob not being recognized. The picture shows the socket of the T15 reversing lamp. Had the same problem with the T10 license plate light. The black lamp socket body has a metal guide plate that aligns the socket internally. In principle, it accepts halogen without any problems, but not THICK LED T15 or T10. Therefore it is NOT plug and play on most models. I just installed these in my 2020 Chevy Silverado as a spare/replacement bulb, replacing the factory bulbs. It was an easy install using only two Torx T15 screws per side. The hardest part of the job was fitting these thicker LED bulbs into seemingly thinner standard bulbs. With a bit of fiddling, I was able to fit them into the slots.
