The word "car" is used constantly in the description and with the seller. this is for car use. "but" your car MUST have a voltage that no other car on the planet has. All passenger cars are powered by 12v, 14.5v from a working generator. But this device will not function fully without a minimum of 24V and no more than 36V. Two stars because the design of the product seems solid but only one of the two ordered worked. Basically, defective goods simply eat through the fuses. I tested it myself with 15 and 20 amp fuses. Every time it was connected to a 12V power supply, the fuse blew immediately. Unbelievable! I tried other USBC PD chargers in this form factor while looking for an option to install on my boat. This trip was annoying and prompted me to buy a tester for just that purpose. I use them on 12V (13.4). USBC agreed and started charging my MacBook Pro 13" (2020) perfectly. I even connected my phone to charge via USB while charging my laptop via USBC. No loss of USBC power! I bought these chargers to mount on a boat and charge both my iPhone and MacBook Air. I've bought similar products before and none of them charged my MacBook.
