Delivers 36W to my Macbook Pro

I'm building a 24v RC battery charging box and thought I'd add one to add USB-A and USB-C charging. I connected this unit to a 12.5V power supply (downconverting from a 24V test supply) and connected the USB-C port to my Mac. In fact, the Mac started charging and reported 36W of power from the charger. (sooo, 12v to 3a). Ok :) The USB-A port charges my phone perfectly, but my phone doesn't support QC3.0. I know, I know it's time for a new phone, but I don't want to upgrade anything that works…

Upgrade Your Gear With USB-C

I just added a couple of these to my solar generator, the radio I use for camping and mobile ham radio events. They trigger a small RF hash when something is plugged in and charged. Haven't figured out how to mitigate or protect it yet. Loading speed is good. Charges phones quickly. Charges/boots an Apple laptop with no problems. The blue LED is barely noticeable, which is very important compared to some others that seem overly bright. Even in the dark, the lighting is weak. This is very much…

Almost Perfect Replacement Parts

So this must be what the factory comes out with now when they build cars. But they don't, so that's the next best thing. It works as described and fits great. I installed it in place of the factory USB charging port on my Hyundai Elantra 2021. I would prefer it not to light up at all so it looks closer to the OEM, as does the finish/color you can see in the photos, it's pretty close but still not like the slightly textured OEM -Plastic looks. .QC3.0 quickly charges my 15W QI charger and my…

That's not what you expect.

The word "car" is used constantly in the description and with the seller. this is for car use. "but" your car MUST have a voltage that no other car on the planet has. All passenger cars are powered by 12v, 14.5v from a working generator. But this device will not function fully without a minimum of 24V and no more than 36V. This makes this device unsuitable for typical automotive use. Trailers and construction equipment, sure, but your 2003 Honda Accord or even newer hybrid only puts out 12…

One worked, the other will blow whatever fuse you put in front of it.

Two stars because the design of the product seems solid but only one of the two ordered worked. Basically, defective goods simply eat through the fuses. I tested it myself with 15 and 20 amp fuses. Every time it was connected to a 12V power supply, the fuse blew immediately. I'm glad I checked both orders before final installation as this could have damaged the large chain it was to be fitted into. I can't recommend this product with a 50/50 probability of success, and now I'm not sure the…

36W USBC PD! suitable for lighting and electrical engineering

Unbelievable! I tried other USBC PD chargers in this form factor while looking for an option to install on my boat. This trip was annoying and prompted me to buy a tester for just that purpose. I use them on 12V (13.4). USBC agreed and started charging my MacBook Pro 13" (2020) perfectly. I even connected my phone to charge via USB while charging my laptop via USBC. No loss of USBC power! I have this test too done with an anker 12v charger and my laptop charged at 30w which is workable however…

Will charge a 2020 MacBook Air

I bought these chargers to mount on a boat and charge both my iPhone and MacBook Air. I've bought similar products before and none of them charged my MacBook. With this I get 36 watts of charge in my MacBook, see photo below. The Mac's charging power stays at 36W even when I plug in my iPhone to charge at the same time as my Mac. The working power on my boat is 24V but my charging sockets are connected to a DC/DC converter which drops the voltage to a stable 13V as most accessories are not 24V…
