I have never used a woven duvet and was surprised at how much of a difference it feels even through the sheet. I've always had wool, acrylic or fleece blankets and have been pleasantly surprised at the improvements that textured cotton fabric can offer. I rarely wake up overheated or sweaty, and when I do, it's my blanket. I ordered California king size for my Saatva queen size mattress (14 inch version) and it fits perfectly. Over the last few years I've been trying to optimize my sleep…

The perfect cotton duvet

I love Ralph Lauren cotton duvets and they won't disappoint. It's the ideal weight - not as light and flimsy as some of the cheaper ones and not too heavy. This is the perfect summer duvet with all the Ralph Lauren qualities. It is soft to the touch and won't shrink when washed in cold water and dried according to the directions. Some reviews said it fills the dryer's lint filter with lint as you dry it, but isn't that what all new high quality cotton blankets do? Some also mentioned the…

Lightweight Warm Soft Cotton

Based on reviews I am ordering a king size bed for a queen guest bed and there is enough, the sides and plenty on the bottom after washing in cold water and the Tumble dry low temperature according to the instructions. This blanket is 100% cotton, so expect a lot of lint in the dryer from any cotton blanket. It's fine, just remove the lint every 15-20 minutes and restart the dryer. No drama needed :) After drying, there were no more crazy fluffs left on the quilt other than those left in the…

Lint Explosion is suitable for duvets and bedspreads

First I ordered the color "cream" and was sent a color marked "taupe". It's not taupe, it's gray with a brown cast. Rather, it's a golden tan or buff. It's a nice color - just not the one I ordered. Attached is a photo of a massive ball of lint that was shed when the comforter was first washed. In fact, there was so much lint that some of it was being pushed out of the lint filter in my large Whirlpool Duet dryer. If this continues, it will soon be the consistency of gauze. Another problem is…

Disappointing quality but nice color and weight

I trust Ralph Lauren products so much I have ordered 6 of these duvets as I believe they are of high quality. But I'm sending them all back. These duvets are not soft. I didn't use a blanket. I just opened the package and partially unfolded the new duvet on my bed. I have a lot of cotton comforters but they don't match my new double beds. But my old ones are of very high quality even though they were bought from stores like Linen and Things many years ago. One of my old sweet girls is Martha…

Very comfortable - lightweight but warm, breathes well not stuffy

Perfect size for my California King bed - I've finally found out that king size comforters (since they don't make Cal King comforters - Rare) fit Cal-King bed is best when laid on its side, it hangs a little more on the sides. There is very little to fill up at the end, but most of the time there is still not much left. I'd rather have those extra inches on the sides. I have tried many different blankets over the years and have come to the conclusion that cotton is the best material. Vellux…
