I love these ashtrays! I bought 2 of these and I think I will buy another one or two in a bearish future. What I like about them is that the wind doesn't blow the ash everywhere - I don't have to constantly deal with the stench of a full ashtray. For personal use, this makes a wonderful ashtray and a great addition to any smoking collection. It makes Ashes luxe and trendy, a task I never thought could be luxe. The globe smells like ash and looks way better than a dirty ashtray in your room. Other than that, the globe has very minor issues. The paint didn't really stay in the lines and got onto some of the appliqués, the lid is a bit frayed and can sometimes fall off if you're not careful. For that reason I wouldn't give it to anyone who
