I've tried a few straps including a real 'black' Fossil aluminum strap and finally settled on this one and have no regrets!

Looks good, no wonder when I opened it. Attaching the strap is a bit trickier as the connectors are not actually part of the strap itself like the standard strap is. Removing redundant links also requires a bit of work. Overall I think I will like this band a lot more than the one that came with the watch.

But it still looks good. Spring pins are used to determine the size of the bracelet, which you insert with the tool provided and pull out a little, after which it falls apart. It was a little harder to put together the first time, but then it got easier. Looks solid and should hold up.

Not TERRIBLE to install but a bit more complicated than a regular watch strap. I almost wanted someone to help me, so I would have four hands, but the details are too small for that. I was able to secure it by losing just 1 of the tiny pins (they give you a few extra) that connect each link to the next. As soon as I put it on my wrist, it immediately fell apart. It happens to be ok as I still had to remove the link to get the correct size. Just make sure you wear it at home for an hour or two…
