It works but gets HOT

As much as I love playing my Nintendo Switch on my TV, I wanted to play my Switch on my laptop. Nobody told me that I need to download another program to play my game and nobody told me that I need to plug in headphones to hear the game. And my game froze when I tried to play so I unplugged it when I finished my level. First of all, the device actually gets HOT. That's what I get when I buy a cheap capture card.

Can NOT record any resolution without severe video stuttering.

I'm trying to plug in my laptop for streaming/recording only so I don't gag on my gaming PC. Easy to set up. The observatory figured it out pretty quickly. Couldn't be sure the video didn't have that horrible stuttering. Made it unbearable to watch the gameplay backwards. It's not the computer's fault. My laptop I use has a Radeon Vega 8 Arch. I even tried using my gaming PC connected to Xbox One X. even a recording with nvec and 2060 didn't stop the stuttering. I got another one along the way…

Windows interprets audio from this device as MONO ONLY

As the name suggests. Windows will only accept audio from this device as a mono signal sampled at 96kHz. The card accepts a stereo signal with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz. The headphone jack on the card sends a stereo signal (I checked), but for some reason the software drivers are broken so all windows see 96kHz mono. The video quality is great and the sound quality is okay. , but it can't really be used for recording or streaming for the simple reason that device drivers aren't working…

Great card for the price!

At first I had my doubts, capture cards usually cost more and a $65 capture card seemed a bit strange to me. This card is too good to be true, although I had some trouble setting it up initially, after that it worked flawlessly. It captured a crisp picture and had a smooth framerate, it's also a versatile card in the sense that it's compatible with all modern systems, even the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which is a bonus since PS3s are notorious for it are that they do not allow card capture…

Surprisingly good for the price

I use it for streaming to YouTube on my Xbox Series X as there is no way to do it natively from the console and the quality for such an affordable capture card is pretty good good is. This also worked for Xbox 360 and since I have an HDMI converter it also worked for GameCube, OG Xbox and PS2. The only downside is that I can't get the audio to work when I connect it to a TV. However, the sound is fine on my PC.

Very Good Budget Snap-On Capture Card

This card is amazing value. For just $70, you get Full HD 1080p 60fps video from any console (even retro if you have an HDMI adapter). I notice that the colors are a bit more saturated than in the real picture, but close enough that it doesn't matter. The only complaint I have is how hot this thing gets. It won't burn you or anything, but when it does it gets really warm and I'm not sure how long it will stay that hot, especially if you use it a lot. This is due to the lack of cooling; There…

It's good but not great

TLDR: Great price for the quality. Loud and distorted audio, screen cracking and heat rumors. The $50 recorder is a steal. And it delivers. But there are some cons that negatively affect this rating. Pros: 1) Great price. This is stealing, but you have some disadvantages that will be explained later. 2) Really easy to set up and use. I'm surprised at how easy it is to set up, although I wish there was more information in the manual. Cons: 1) It kills the sound. Seems pretty bad. I play rhythm…

Easy to set up but fails quickly - No sound / Runs great HOT

I bought this to record PS5 videos on my computer. After 3 days, the sound started skipping and lagging behind the gameplay. I thought it had something to do with my OBS settings, but after spending hours making changes to the OBS settings, I realized that the problem was with this capture card. I disabled OBS and just tried running the PS5 through the PC speakers. The delay was approximately 4 full seconds of gameplay. I unplugged the capture card and connected my PS5 directly to the PC with…
