The old version of My own Leaptop was much better

I couldn't update the old version of this toy anymore because the company stopped releasing the software. All I have to do is change my eldest son's name to my little one. The company doesn't seem to care. Many people still use the old Leaptop and want to use it. With this in mind I bought the new version and am VERY disappointed. This version is not configurable like the old one. I can type a name but Leaptop never says it. My toddler prefers to play with the old version although his name is…

Great value for money - full keyboard and tutorial!

Got this for my 3 year old for Christmas. She specifically wanted a "laptop like her mom" and it fitted her perfectly. I wanted a full keyboard (many similar products have fewer keys) and didn't mind that it was in alphabetical order instead of the normal QWERTY layout. The concept of this toy is great, and the games and functions are good. But the build quality is sub-par at best. After less than a month, the screen stopped staying in laptop mode and switched to tablet mode. I opened it up and found that it was because the one part holding the mechanism that moves the sieve bath in and out was made out of cheap plastic that bends easily. If I were an engineer, I would probably scan this piece and 3D print it in a more durable material; However, I don't own a…

Good for the price but a bit boring

My daughter has wanted a "computer" for a long time. TV aside, she's not really the type to know much about electronics (no tablets etc) so I figured this learning tablet might interest her anyway (as she's never played with a real one). shouldn't have had high expectations). For less than $30, I didn't expect it to be very complex or have a lot of options. It was exactly what I expected. A few fun, simple games, and then some extra actions (e.g. pressing a button to keep the music playing)…
