It's garbage. for toys for babies and toddlers

Clean waste. I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas and added these books. The installation process is completely unrealistic and unnecessarily complicated. No error messages, it just installs the software over and over again without a break. Finally it ends, you check the book and it tells you. Correct, reinstall software. This is rubbish and I want my money back!

  • Weight
Cons

OK but there are bugs

I love Leapfrog books. However, I found several errors in the entries. For example, when my son used one of the books to name letters, he would say "g" instead of each "t". Everything was fine for the healthy activity of the letters. There was another error in one of the other books which I found while looking through the others. I'm not sure if I just have one bad set or if it's all a bug.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Some problems

cool Before It Stops Working

My son liked this the week he had it. He played with it so much that when it suddenly turned itself off today I thought it had drained the batteries (though obviously they should have lasted longer). A brand new Duracell set confirmed the product was defective and I should have wasted time returning it and finding a new one while my 3 year old was sobbing that his laptop was broken. It turns out I'm not the only one with this problem.

Pros
  • Encourages children to touch pages, pictures, letters and words to develop early reading skills, including short and long vowels
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Too hard to download audio!

Great concept! Kids love learning to read with them, but it's extremely difficult for them to download the audio when you've already registered your 3D jump. I asked support for help and none of their suggestions helped my MacBook. In the end I had to give it to someone who works with computers to download it and even he tried his best and finally forced him to download it. I will NOT be buying any more books for our device.

Pros
  • Tap the Say, Spell, and Spell icons to hear each word, hear how it sounds, or how it's spelled
Cons
  • Almost OK

Buyer's Attention: Very confusing description

Bad Descriptions is currently a trademark of amazon.com. Who is to blame here: the manufacturers? Salesperson? or amazon.com? I'm pretty sure they all made an effort for each other. But from day one, amazon.com couldn't be any less nonchalant about it. This not only costs us time and money, but also frustration. It wouldn't be a big problem - after all, most of us here are adults and know how to deal with our unhappiness, but why should children suffer too?! This manufacturer, for obviousโ€ฆ

Pros
  • LeapStart requires a computer with internet access to download books; designed for 4-7 years; no batteries required
Cons
