Cute but not perfect

I bought these to help my 3 year old to recognize numbers. She really enjoys playing with this set and it has definitely helped her to recognize numbers. The gifts are smaller than I thought and the items in the gifts don't match the numbers at all. I tried to think outside the box by putting other small items in the boxes that matched the numbers and piqued their curiosity. All in all a nice concept.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • poorly thought out

So much love for toddlers and toddler toys

How do I like it? let me count the ways You have color matching (preschool!), you have numbers, counting and one-to-one matching (before math!), you have container game - enter and exit, open and close (game!), you have opener boxes, to find the surprises inside (fun!), you have enough boxes for several children to play with them at the same time (communication!), you have common topics of conversation (language!). So many reasons to love these colorful little gifts!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Little repairability

Great teaching tool!

These boxes are so cute! My daughter is learning to count to 10 and often skips numbers so we thought this would be a great visual aid. She's also obsessed with curtain bags and surprise boxes, so it's the perfect combination. They contain cute little surprises and you can mix and match the lids! My only downside to the set is that the packaging isn't reusable for storage. It would be great if they came in a hard box! Otherwise a very cute set to use to teach numbers, colors and matching!

Great for gifts or educational purposes!

I am a speech therapist and bought this after seeing many SLPs on Instagram using it in teletherapy sessions. It's great for stimulating communication and targeting words and concepts like (insert), (take out), open, more, colors, numbers, etc. My nephew just had his 3rd birthday and so did I. I had to order a set. He immediately ignored all of his other birthday presents and demanded that they be opened and played with immediately. My sister tells me that after his birthday he's great for solo

I do NOT recommend. CHOKING HAZARD!

Pros: - This toy has a really good concept. - Real chests and "treasures" inside are very strong and durable. - Good for recognizing and counting numbers. Cons: - As shown in the pictures, 🎁Gifts and small toys inside and MUCH SMALL! - Real boxes are difficult for my 1 and 2 year old to open. (which defeats the purpose of spotting "surprises") - "Treasures" in real boxes are a hazard to check - Because of the "loop" on top of the gift, you can't even stack the boxes on top of each other. - NO…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

This toy is AWESOME for many reasons! Real boxes open and close easily for surprise eggs, but they also make gifts for all of our other playsets and toys! Peppa Pig, Mickey Mouse, Barbie, Calico Critters - everyone has gifts to celebrate birthdays and Christmas! The pieces of jewelery in the real boxes are also of really great quality. We also use them in our other playsets! My daughter got them when she was 2 years old. My kids still play with it every day (daughter 3, son 7) because of the…

My daughter loves this. Great for home preschool education!

As an educator I love good manipulations to teach and reinforce math skills and concepts. Especially for younger children. That alone makes this a successful theme because it actually helps disguise learning as a game. I love how the little surprise boxes have the number printed on them PLUS the dots on the dice (dots on the dice). Recognizing the number of dots without counting is a very valuable skill when teaching young children. Besides practicing with the numbers, the small gift boxes and…

Great therapeutic tool but a few tips to improve it

I love this toy! I work with Early Childhood SLP and have been using it for a few days to encourage expressive speech in both my granddaughter and ECSE students during speech therapy. The lids are a bit tight and I like to encourage kids to get help if they can't open or close the lid. It is easy for children to identify and name objects. I plan to use this as a reward system for children during speech/language therapy, hiding small objects for children to work on specific sounds during speech…
