Wow this came fast! I was favorably impressed with the quality of the item for the price point. The leather was supple (which I like) and the stitching sturdy. Unfortunately it does not fit my Midori A5 journal. The journal is too thick and thus the cover doesn't cover. I tried a thinner A5 and it fit perfectly (like a moleskin). Perfect! I have spent so much money over the years trying to find a quality leather journal cover that has everything I need. Well I finally found it! I love the pen loop, the slots to stash cards and receipts, and the feel of the leather.

After researching numerous leather products that the moleskine journals would work best with this one seemed the optimum choice. Out of the box everything was great. The journal, pen and business cards fit perfectly. After a bit the smell seemed to grow more intense vs. dissipate so rather than return it I started with leaving it out in the sun sprayed with vinegar, wrapping it in newspaper, soaking it in baking soda, industrial strength sporicidin (which seemed to work) and various other…

As an author and fanatical writer, I go through many, many Moleskine tablets in the course of a year. This cover was the one missing component to protect my work. And now I flash this cover every chance I get. It fits the size book I write in, even the 400-page version, with absolutely no issues. I highly recommend this cover for anybody who uses 5X7 notebooks for their creative work.

for the money, it's awesome. Leather may feel too rough or tough. But I'm a bit of a leather snob, and you get what you pay for with this one. Returned it.

Well made. I use this to hold a moleskin notebook that I use for work.My notebooks used to get crumpled and sweat stained when I put them in my back pocket . This protects them and looks professional when I wind up back in the office from the field.

The design is great but to call it "premium distressed leather” seems a bit disingenuous. Doesn’t seem to be anything premium about it.

I REALLY like this journal cover. I'm using it to hold a notebook to take notes in meetings at work. It the perfect size, thick and sturdy, and a nice color. A few reviews asked if it really leather, and it isn't top grain leather as the price shows. However it is great quality for the price!

I'll use this for many years to come. I like it and it's built to last. The fit is a little off so I dropped one star for that. Maybe in time, the leather will settle around these notebooks.
