LEM 1379 MaxVac Vacuum Sealer Review

Some of the other reviews were correct and difficult to close. At the moment I can do that, but we'll see in the future. Works well, small and compact.

Seams must be a right latch issue for proper operation. I seem to have to "click" the right side 2-3 times for it to work as intended. The rest is OK.

Unlike my previous unit (a different brand) this one works with the lid closed rather than slowly cycling and then not turning on the vacuum. Very compact and easy to store. Fair loading. invoice

I can't even rate the product as it has no suction, is difficult to use and not worth the over $60 spent on it. I should have invested that money in another, more famous and reliable car. I am very disappointed as I have sealed a total of 12 bags with it and over half have lost the seal in the freezer. I've had another sealer for years and this time I didn't want to spend as much. I'm sorry I didn't just invest in a better product. GARBAGE

This is the biggest piece of junk I've ever bought and apparently my return window closed before I could use it for my annual fishing trip. Even after the device snaps into place, you literally have to push on it to get enough vacuum to suck the bag. I thought I was doing a good job buying a LEM product, but not so much. I bought LEM bags for this item and tried it with the two that came with it. I never got it to "auto vacuum and seal" like it should. This means the vacuum runs forever until it gives up, never seeming to pull a strong enough vacuum to decide it's done. The manual says you can just press "seal" to cancel the vacuum process and seal immediately, and that's the only way I've ever sealed. However, it clearly stops the vacuum…

The instructions were great...read them! I went to the site and listened to the presented videos 2 times. I learned more about vacuum sealers from this company than the other two I've had before and got rid of. Remember there must be at least 8 inches of loose (empty) material over the product before sealing the product AND if there is liquid in the product you must do one of two things to ensure the liquid does not penetrate in the center of his seal, preventing their sealing.
