Waterproof and Dustproof Junction Enclosure by LeMotech: Optimal Protection Review

I used this fence to move my crappy full phase solar gateway outside to a safer spot in the house. I just wish it was about an inch more in the direction itself so I could mount the outlet straight ahead with a little more breathing room, but overall it works well.

I use two of these on my skiff boat where I needed to install a connector that requires a 1" hole but I didn't want to drill a 1" hole in my boat. Deck. The only thing to remember is that this is a waterproof box. To get cable in and out and remain waterproof, you must order waterproof cable glands that match the wire gauge and application.

Looks like a sturdy box but I don't like that the bottom has all the holes for the board. They're getting in my way and I can't find the right panel on Revain so I have to fabricate something instead. I just want a smooth interior. Be careful if you plan to install lots of circuit boards etc as you won't be able to see the actual dimensions as the plastic fixings will get in the way.

Used this box to house a bare metal LED power supply in my house. Cut a few lines with an end mill to allow airflow to the PSU and glue the screen over the holes. I liked the fact that the same holes used for attachment are used to screw in the lid, but I found the typical handle screws are too large for the holes to slide completely over the hole. Might be a good mod for the future to allow the head of the gripper screw to go into the hole almost to the back/bottom of the hole.

I used this for seasonal outdoor outlets. I mounted a 4 channel relay board and network power supply into the box and cut 4 holes for sockets in the lid. It has a thin rubber gasket in a channel around the lid to seal the box. The screws for the lid are made of the same plastic as the box and are sufficient if you don't over tighten them.
