Works perfectly! in Computers and accessories

I was used to laptop docking stations at work, so I knew exactly what to expect in terms of convenience and features. I bought this unit used, with a big discount. It was in excellent cosmetic condition and works as good as new, so why not? Basically I bought it because I don't want to *5* plug in cables every time I use my laptop at my desk. I used to manually connect these cables: video signal, USB wireless receiver, audio cable, power cable, Ethernet (faster than Wi-Fi). Now everyone just…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Overall it works great until you hit it

Note. I bought a used version of this unit so my comments may not apply to a brand new unit. Overall this works as advertised with no issues and makes it much easier to connect my computer to my working setup. My work didn't involve docks, so I decided to buy one myself. My only complaint is that when I hit my desk, it can come loose, disconnecting my monitors, disabling my USB (and with it my headset, which can be problematic when I'm on a call) and then taking a few seconds to reset . I…

I have a T400S and this is the WRONG MODEL for it

I checked the Lenovo website and was quite confused as to which docking station has which features and which computer model will work . I have T60, R400, T400 and T400S. It seemed clear enough that in everything I read the line for swapping docks was between the T400 and T400S. But this dock doesn't work with my T400S (I have an older dock that works with my T60 or T400). So, it really annoys me how difficult it is to work this out with Lenovo. Also, the description of this model here on Revain

  • Very good value for money

USB ports not working for my Thinkpad X220

Just bought this for my Thinkpad X220 but the USB ports are not working so I had to spend hours trying to find a solution. It turned out to be a problem with the USB driver, but it was a lot of trial and error. .Here's what I needed to do ===================Updated BIOS, updated drivers to support USB 3.0 and other chipset related issues, applied multiple updates from Lenovo. My operating system completely crashed after all this, so I had to run an automatic repair. I also enabled USB Always ON

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Volume

A Real Docking Station

I wanted to replace my outdated desktop and laptop with a laptop and docking station. Dell and HP tried to sell me port replicators as docking stations, but I didn't buy them. Eventually I called Lenovo and they offered the Thinkpad and the Mini Dock Series 3. I bought the Lenovo Thinkpad but saved over $65 by buying the Revain dock. I've been using it for two months now and it works exactly as I intended. My wired mouse, 22" monitor and stereo are always connected (the keyboard is wireless)…

  • A Sea of Positive Emotions
