Poor Quality Band Saw Blade

This band saw blade is terrible. It constantly breaks and wears out quickly. Industrial and Scientific equipment should be made with more care and precision. Through trial and error, I found that this blade was not worth the investment.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Poor quality, prone to breaking

Doesn't cut what it says on the tin

Bought two of these tools to cut high carbon steel. The first dulled in seconds, came back thinking I had a bad blade, the second worked with the same results. Even struggled with mild steel. If you're looking for a metal cutting blade, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Suitable for cutting solid sections, rectangular tubing, structural sections and sheet metal
Cons
  • No power

These are excellent blades. I had better durability than with .

Excellent blades. I've had better longevity than the Starretts. I use carbon steel for aluminum and sometimes stainless steel and copper. Anything between 0.030 and 0.25. These .025 blades work best with my horizontal saw and produce square cuts. Other brands tend to be more flexible, causing the cuts to flex in or out in horizontal mode no matter how much I adjust them.

Pros
  • Variable tooth design for higher cutting speeds than normal teeth and smoother cuts
Cons
  • old
