Description of LensCoat LCN70200V2FG Nikon 70-200 VR II Lens Cover (Forest Green Camo)

Protection from bumps, dings, nicks, and the elements like water, sand, dust etc. Camoflauge patterns help conceal by breaking up the shape of the lens. Neoprene acts as a thermal barrier protecting hands from hot and cold. Slides on like a sleeve. Made in the USA.

Good quality

Good quality lens cap. But it would be nice if you at least post the installation order. because I was trying to figure out where the first or the second is. Also, the hood lid is pretty tight, the last time I put it on it barely cracked my hood.

not very happy with it

Covers the lens for protection, but the neoprene parts rub against each other and create resistance that makes it difficult to adjust the zoom ring. I could try trimming part of the zoom ring, but then the lens seams would be more exposed. In the end I just took the whole piece off. The version I bought in black for my Sigma 70-200 didn't have this problem. And just a note, if you store your lenses in foam trays or in matching cases, you may need to remove part of the lens hood for storage.

Great addition to 600mm or 200-400mm but I would skip this

. I think for 600mm and 200-400mm goggles this is a nice addition that can prevent your lens from wearing out over time. Like many other photographers, I care about my gear and want to keep it in the best condition possible. I wish I had spent the money on the 70-200mm model. It's made up of too many neoprene rings that surround the lens in various places, but don't bother to stay there when in use. And if left in place, they'll be placed in the best possible spots to upset the controls by…
