I was so hoping for this horn. It's not very noisy and cannot be heard by pedestrians unless you are 20 feet away. When they hear it, they're more embarrassed than scared (how the heck. I put this on my bike because my old traditional bell was rusting and I thought other sounds would be new. I usually ride quiet bike lanes and miss my old bell. That thing is too loud to use. It scares people who give me a "dirty" look instead of politely stepping out of the way. Instead of gently warning pedestrians that a bike is approaching to turn right, they freeze at the sound. On the main road in traffic it's probably okay if you need to be heard over road noise.
