Makes You Better - Carpenter's Squares

If you're struggling with smoothness when hand grouting, this wheel will improve you from the moment you pick it up. It's a bit delicate, but the flexibility of the blade makes it what it is. If you hate butt joints like me, you should try this tool. This is the closest thing to using a box without investing in it.

Pros
  • That's Amazing
Cons
  • Reliability

Smooth Finish - Carpenter's Square

This paring blade is great. Mix the finished mixture with water until it starts dripping from the mixer, then add some dishwashing liquid. Leave it on for about 5 minutes, then use a 10" ribbon cutter to remove it from your pan and quickly flatten it with a 24" ribbon cutter. Then take a few strokes with this slide blade and the wall will be smooth and even. Great ending!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Highly recommended.

If I had known how much easier this level 5 paring knife would be to use I would have bought it many years ago. I installed nails in my 1960's house and decided that wall coating was the best way after removing all the nails and replacing them with screws. I was afraid of this process, but after purchasing this tool, I'm happy with my decision. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • no performance

Simply stunning on measurement and layout tools

I'm not sure if such a tool was available the last time I did drywall (late 90's). I consider myself a capable owner (I make cabinets and doors, railings, paneling for pillars, etc.). I had rented a wall that was in a total mess from a supposed professional contractor doing the repairs, so bad I knew I had better clean it after patching it to keep it healthy. I was ready for the first time to be something approaching a disastrous learning experience. I was *shocked* at how quick and easy it was

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Great blade, factory packed

This is a quality tool made from aluminium. It feels good in the hand and is well balanced. CONS: Why such a quality product uses a cheap piece of molded plastic as a stop. It's pretty obvious why they're broken. The packaging is good except that the blade is boxed in an open cardboard lid presumably to allow movement of the blade and not to put pressure on the plastic stopper. However, the box itself is fitted almost and precisely so that in transit each time the box is placed on its edge it…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

I've read several reviews that mentioned the end caps arrived broken. I think the manufacturer read those reviews too because it came with spares! Mine were fine by the way and the tool was well packaged. I bought the 24" version. It's very easy to use, even for someone like me who only does drywall occasionally. The handle position and movement was very natural. I added the composition with another knife and used it to leveling/smoothing everything also works well when everything is dry to see

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
