I'm not sure if such a tool was available the last time I did drywall (late 90's). I consider myself a capable owner (I make cabinets and doors, railings, paneling for pillars, etc.). I had rented a wall that was in a total mess from a supposed professional contractor doing the repairs, so bad I knew I had better clean it after patching it to keep it healthy. I was ready for the first time to be something approaching a disastrous learning experience. I was *shocked* at how quick and easy it was to get this wall looking like new drywall with just a few lifts later. Without exaggerating, it took about 15-20 minutes to thin the mix and remove that wall. I know from the past that it took me hours and a lot of profanity with wide tape cutters. These things are a dream to use. I can only imagine how beautiful it will look in the hands of a pro.
