Easy to install - Well built - Does the job

Just got this up and running recently when I started using my home theater live. In my setup I placed all the equipment outside of the room and I have a wall plate for the left front speaker that has this connector module. I plug my IR repeater sensor into this socket and then use the second one in the next room to connect the IR junction box. Works perfectly! It is very easy to work with due to the screw termination for the wires, but be aware that you will need a small jeweler's flathead…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Negative gift

Not fully tested yet - build quality is a small issue

I ordered and installed them as part of a remote IR extension project I'm working on; Put a cable box in the basement and run IR extenders in there so I can connect the cable to two different TVs without paying for two tuners. They installed perfectly and connecting the stereo cable was very easy. However, out of the four I ordered, one came with the working parts detached from the plastic insert. Repair was not an option so I just ordered a replacement and it arrived fine. The general build…

  • Good build

Pros/Cons (more cons)

Pros: The cable connector on the back is of good quality and uses screws, making it easy to insert the stereo spade and making a solid connection. Some other models from ICC and Panduit have an insertion hole that is difficult and difficult for those with large fingers. You need a small screwdriver. The connection on the front panel is of high quality. Cons: Expensive compared to ICC and Panduit models; The jack itself is not exactly Keystone or mine was molded with a defect. I found it very…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great idea, imperfect execution

I bought a pair of these to take sound from the living room to the amp room for my distributed audio system in the house. Like the Cables to Go version of the C2G/Cables to Go 37036 3.5mm 3 Wire Keystone Adapter, it's a good concept but not very well built. As I screwed in the wires I was concerned that the minimal torque I applied to the Phoenix connector might break the solder joints on the board. (Although it looks like a Phoenix-Uxcell connector, 20-pack, 5.08mm, 3-pin PCB mount screw…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
