Essential for any techie or DIY enthusiast!

finally installed everything and i have to say i am very glad i did it. I installed this in an existing build because I needed a dedicated network enclosure so I could clear out clutter in different rooms. I installed a router (I have a wireless access point), a cable modem, an 8-port switch, a POE adapter for my access point, and an extender in the case, and ran Cat5e for EVERYTHING in my house, including spares. Highly recommended and Revain's price was cheaper than other sites due to hidden…

Durable Media Case: Electrical Boxes

Overall a great product. I agree with other posters that the knockouts were a little stiff, but I was able to get through with pliers and a screwdriver. The grommets were a nice addition to keep dust inside the case to a minimum. I installed this product in my garage and it fits perfectly between two studs. I screwed the screws directly into the studs using wings on the body that can be extended. To help anyone considering this case over the larger option: I have an unmanaged TRENDnet 16-port…

Working: Electrical Boxes

I have a fairly new house. When it was built I asked for a bigger box. It didn't happen, they installed a 14" Leviton metal case. After some research, I decided to upgrade to this Leviton 28-inch metal case. Pretty simple build. Just had to move the outlet to the bottom of the box. I used this metal box 47605-28N along with the plastic bezel 49605-28T and vented door 49605-28S. Everything came together perfectly. As some reviews say, the door is a little flimsy, but it doesn't hide anything, it

Seems like a good deal until you factor in the cost of all branded modules

As a box with a door that fits in the wall it's great. As something to help you organize and build your home network, it leaves a lot to be desired. Whether you want to use nifty push-lock fasteners or a web of holes in the back, you need to buy Leviton's patented overpriced modules. Or you can do what a lot of people have done here and drill your own holes or install plywood inside. I was disappointed to find that attaching items inside the box required some creativity. I didn't want to spend…
