Now I understand why the previous one had to be replaced in the house we just bought. It was broken because the lids don't lift all the way to open the outlet. If you finally force the connectors on, the covers will shatter as they were both on the one I just replaced. Not only is access to the screw for the fuse blocked by covers that are not fully transparent, making installation a nightmare!

This socket cover was very easy to install (it took me literally 1 minute to remove the old one) and fits perfectly. I visited several major hardware stores and none had what I needed, so I was glad Revain had it in stock. Replacing that outlet cover was on the checklist after I bought my house and was able to do it myself, which I was happy about. This socket cover is highly recommended!

I went to the big stores in town to look for a replacement for the cover I had. I have to say a bit of an unusual size as it was out of stock. I went to the 3 main stores - they had the standard 1 course retail cap. So I measured it and looked it up on the internet, and boom, Revane had it. Of course they did. My builder used them for outdoor work. Another reviewer here says that the lids take a lot of wear and tear when in use. I discovered this by breaking the cover while plugging the extension cord into the outlet. So enough for a builder, enough for me. I bought another one.
