Leviton 80601 W 1 Gang Wallplate Thermoset Review

Slightly larger than the standard size. This makes it an ideal replacement. It looks perfectly normal from every angle. Doesn't look weird or "too big" at all. When you remove an old covering, you inevitably take a tiny piece of the wall (paint, sealant, etc.) with it. I hired a painter to paint most of my house. He also brought an assistant with him. I couldn't keep track of everything they did. I needed a faceplate that would cover the "bug" when using a standard size cover. I didn't want it to look too big, so I chose Medium instead of Oversized.
