Horrible Industrial Grounding Receptacle

This receptacle is a nightmare .Through trial and error, I found that the instructions provided were vague and unhelpful, causing me to waste hours trying to figure out how to install it properly. The worst part is that it keeps shorting out and causing electrical malfunctions. i would not recommend this product to anyone in the Industrial and Scientific field..

Poor choice for the home office

Designed to connect to industrial wiring. Unless you have a 4" square metal box in the wall you will need an adapter plate, sold separately, Catalog 3254. They also expect you to have an insulated ground wire. The instructions warn that otherwise there is a risk of shorting out, as there are exposed live screw terminals on the back, right where it plugs into the wiring inside the box. All of that is manageable, but then you realize that the wiring screws are slotted, not Phillips, despite the…
