Instead of opening the rocker switch on one side and the plug on the other, just slide the switch to the middle and install it. Voila. looks perfect Now the tricky part is to mount the switch in the middle of the two switch box since there are no screw holes in the middle of the box. Be creative. I found a way to attach the switch with a screw in one of the switch's "ears" at the top and bottom where it meets the drywall.

Just what I needed for my garage light switch. Came with a bluish thin plastic protective sheet which I left on for now. If it gets scratched, I'll take it off. It is a 4.5 x 4.5 inch square. Arrived the next day.

I take SOME responsibility. Looking back, I see the dimensions say "package sizes". However, these are ONLY the sizes listed for this product. Why should I care about package sizes? They are listed as 5.2 x 4.9 inches which is perfect for my specific needs. Unfortunately, the REAL dimensions of 4.5 x 4.5 inches are too small. It took me a while to finish this project so I can't return it so I don't have $15. Live and learn I think.
