To be honest I don't know why I opened it up. Since I received the package, I didn't like the size anymore. This is too little. then I open it and find that the magnets are very small and difficult to play with, especially for toddlers. The marker didn't work well, the board had some small bumps (I think from the glue) and the wood was so uneven that the lid barely touched the bottom. You can't open it easily either, the lid doesn't have a handle or anything to pull it out from the bottom, so…

In general, the wooden box is not bad. You get what you pay for. The double sided board is great. The board side is what we use the most. I would recommend this for the older preschool/age group. Some of the magnets are very small (less than a dime) and have an odd, unrecognizable shape. They are meant to be put together like a jigsaw puzzle, which didn't work for me with my toddler. I bought this in desperation before a 16 hour trip to try and keep my troubled 3 year old busy. He's not into coloring or stickers (I know!) like his older sister. It looked so unusual and so funny. Unfortunately the box, writing board and magnets were included (as shown in the picture) but the company included a board marker in the box. The whole box is made of very light wood and the writing board is white. No matter how careful the person and the child are; black paint pollutes the box and spoils the beautiful attractive box.
