Inexpensive with decent speed

256GB model. About 90MB/s reading and 80MB/s writing. In comparison, the old but popular Sandisk 200GB MicroSD card averages 80MB/s read and 30MB/s write speeds. I know. You are in total shock. An Amazon review that provides basic real-world speeds and isn't entirely useless.

Outstanding Performance

Whether it's a solid state drive or a thumb drive, I've found Lexar products to have superior performance. This is a fast writing USB stick (Lexar Professional 667X) that I bought (I buy a balance of low cost and high performance). I'm an electrical engineer with over 25 years of experience designing integrated PCs, including solid state drives.

upset. The card no longer works.

This micro SD card was no longer recognized by the device it was in and was not recognized by any other devices. Photos, documents, etc. on this card will be lost. Was only in use for a few months. For me, this was the first time that the card stopped working and all the information on it was no longer available. Learned the lesson of regularly backing up information.

Great for Kindle Fire

Purchased to increase storage on Kindle Fire HD 8 (7th Gen). Works great - reads at 70MB/s and writes at 50MB/s consistently. Looking at other tests for micro SD cards in Kindle, the speed limit looks like it's a Kindle and not a card. On par with much more expensive UHS-II cards tested on the same Kindle Fire model. Warning - I first tested this with a crappy USB memory card reader and got crappy results. Installed A1 SD Bench (apk) and tested the card while it was in the device. . Much more…

Just say no to the Chinese Lexar rebrand.

Lexar has died, unfortunately a Chinese company (Longsys) seems to have bought their brand but neglected any quality control. The first one I bought and turned on music died a day later without warning. I sent it back to Amazon hoping to exchange it for another brand but unfortunately that wasn't possible and they sent a replacement for the original. He survived for several weeks and also died. and now it is out of its replacement period. Both are completely irretrievable, so do yourself a…

Leexar MicroSD 128G card stopped working after 4 months

I first bought this Lexar 128G microSD card in June 2019. In October 2019 she stopped working after 4 months. My device wouldn't recognize it even if it only had 5G data. Revane was kind enough to send me a replacement. Then in February 2020, exactly 4 months later, the replacement card stopped working. Likewise, my device would not recognize a card with only 5G data. Luckily, it doesn't work with 5G data anymore, so data loss isn't as painful. However, it is very annoying that Lexar, a…

Totally WRONG on the A2 specification

First: The card is confirmed not to be a fake Second: As seen in other reviewers' screenshots and text reviews, in addition to my own testing on multiple systems (all are another A2 card I have that meets the A2 performance spec), the 256GB card at least doesn't come close to the A2 spec. (I got 128GB test too, don't have high hopes) A2 spec for write: 2000 IOPS MinimumActual A2 write on this card: 550-650 IOPSA2 spec read: 4000IOPS MinimumActual A2 read for this card: 1800 -2200 IOPSTested…

  • There are cons

I wanted to expand the phone's memory and I chose this card. It worked as it should and without any problems until 6 months later my phone no longer recognized it as inserted. It then changed to register as inserted but not compatible. But it didn't format either. They would hang 20 percent every time. Tried formatting with PC instead of phone, even with Lexar software, but no luck. I then contacted customer service who were amazingly understanding and helpful. They apologized for the issues…
