I really liked the idea of this machine, but when I took it out of the box I was quite disappointed. I don't want to clog my handlebars anymore and this charger has a bulky package that it plugs into, an extra USB port and an on/off switch. I assumed it was just a pad that plugs into a USB or 12V cigarette lighter just from looking at the photos and using the wireless charger earlier. I was wrong. The cause of the failure was two large chokes breaking off the circuit board. They had to be attached to the board with epoxy but were only held on with pins. It's been about 2 months now. Easy to mount directly on the phone holder. For simplicity, I started by using the fairing's cigarette lighter socket as the power source. I paired this with a U-bolt RAM quick grip on the handlebars, although it's for X-mount. The box comes with decent installation hardware. It is only attached to the provided bracket with 3M tape. Well I had high hopes for this but it just doesn't work. The real Qi charger part needs to be glued to your Ram mount, making it impossible to swap between vehicles unless you want a large dangling cord dangling from your rig. If you don't glue it, it's impossible to put the phone in the right place for the charger to feel it.
