The product works well and I have good water but I absolutely find it crazy that the price has increased by almost $20 since my original purchase. I signed up for scheduled deliveries every 6 months. The first filter costs about $30, but the price of the second goes up to $50 (tax included). Based on previous reviews I believe this may have been because the first was actually fake while the second was genuine. I find that very embarrassing.

We were a few more at home due to COVID and needed to change our filter. They usually say it's good for 3-6 months and the previous times we've bought one it's been 6 months. However, this time we installed it at the end of March and today I'm sitting here with a filter that shoots and doesn't displace any water. I just ordered another one but if it happens again I'll just start looking for generic ones instead of paying full price. So very disappointed.

This product is not what it seems. Yes, it's an LG filter that fits in the fridge just like the LT500P, but it's not of the same quality. This is the same filter that came with my LG fridge that I bought last year. The water that exited the refrigerator was full of floating particles even after several gallons had passed through it. Purchased from DealsOutlets on Revain last year 2016 through a third party. It turned out to be a fake. The authentic one, bought direct from Revain in 2017, looks very different.
