I should have read the reviews before buying but now I can confirm that this book is indeed defective. On the back they promise original-size templates and patterns made of tissue paper, which are mentioned again and again in the projects. But they are not here. Revain, why do you keep selling this faulty product?

Several reviewers indicated that the sample sheets were missing. My copy is gone too. It's funny that copies are sold without them. They are referenced throughout the book, and the authors and editors clearly intend to make the sample sheets a part of what the customer is buying.

I have to admit I've always loved Liberty fabrics and prints. So my love for the drawings in this book was greatly influenced by the use of Liberty prints. I think Marseille medallions and handbag patterns are my favorite designs. I don't often buy sample books so this is a waste for me. I usually buy textbooks. I don't often make blankets from patterns either. So I can't tell you how simple or complex the patchwork patterns are. But I did read the instructions for the classic quilted handbag…
