I bought a Libman Big Gator mop and wanted an extra mop head as you can't usually find one. This was the recommended supplement. I didn't realize it wasn't the same size.

The original Gator mop had a durable nylon face on a foam backing and lasted. Replacement heads are not hardcoated and will wear out after a few uses. Looks like Libman isn't making any more durable ones anymore.

Too bad they're so expensive because it's practically a 7 times more expensive pack of store bought sponges with half the life. Unfortunately, making household mops is a piece of cake. So many mops, so many different sponges. Everything overpriced.

I use this floor cleaner in the bathroom and bought it on September 29, 2019. And I forgot about it when I bought this item until I found a replacement. It is not generic and is very good value for money. Although he sees better, he still cleans the floor like new.

For the time being this replacement Gator mop sponge seems to be just as durable as the original sponge. I've been using it for several months and it's held up well. It looks like replacement sponges for this mop model are not available in store so this is where you can get them. To be honest this might be more of a comment on the mop but it just doesn't stay in place. Popped out half a dozen times while washing my house. I heard it click, but then it snapped back out. PS Make sure you get the right size. There is also a "big" alligator.
