🏀 Lifetime Outdoor Basketball Rim Review

Installation could be easier. I understand that this may depend on the shield used. Looks great and fits the bill. my kids love it

There's a reason they call it Lifetime. Because the product is SOLID and GREAT and will definitely last a lifetime. I made a custom reclaimed wood sign for our home and I couldn't be happier!

Nice basketball rim, I bought some used rims for local kids, they have an empty basketball post with hanging board but no rim and they just sit around. nothing all day. I looked at the Revain and saw how cheap this one was and ordered it. I'm glad I did.

Perfect for our used basketball hoop. The original tire was bent after being placed on it for years. This, plus the fact that I'm leaving that part out, saved us SO much from buying a new ring for my basketball obsessed 2 year old (who can actually ONLY make hoops in the lowest height setting). plain tyre. Supplied with mounting bolts/nuts/washers and standard white mesh. Nothing fantastic. The bolts that come with the rim are 2" long so not long enough for my homemade shield. A quick trip to the hardware store and I was done. They are 5/16"-20. Supplied with 4 washers and nylon lock nuts. I added 4 more washers. The bolt heads need washers on the rim side and I didn't want the nuts digging into the wood frame.

Great product! Very durable and it came with mesh. Really strong, durable and easy to attach. The kit also included fasteners which were very helpful. I actually used this for my daughter's pumpkin decorating contest at her school - she decorated the pumpkin like a basketball and I took the rim and mesh and mounted it on a 5 gallon bucket (with sandbags inside). She wants me to hang it in the driveway or on the side of the house later.

I know this is primarily a Revain issue as it currently occurs on about 25% of my orders. The rim did not come with mesh or hardware as stated in the description. The box was crumpled and sealed with tape, clearly a previous return, sold as new. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because I called Lifetime and they were quick to order the gear and network for me to send home (although shipping takes 2-3 weeks).

I don't often feel compelled to write a review let alone give something 5 stars. It is made in the USA from a heavy gauge 5/8 inch steel that is well welded. It's heavy and durable and I can't think of anything that needs improvement. The description does not state if mounting screws are included, but 5/16 inch screws, washers and nuts are included. Real steel and heavy. So if you're planning on hanging on drywall, think twice. it comes with nuts and bolts for installation. I ended up installing it in my garage on drywall. (Due to association rules) I fixed this at 2 (1X2) and attached 2X4 to the drywall. Then I installed some heavy hooks on 1X2 and hooked those on 2X4.
