Low quality. Revain should refund my money

More junk. I installed the parts and made all the adjustments including loosening the motor nuts and making sure the gears meshed properly with no backlash. Driven about 5 cycles and the gearbox fell off. I think I'll go elsewhere and buy quality parts. This is the second thing I've bought lately, very poor quality. Seriously considering not buying from Revain again!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Legacy model

NFG not working properly: Wrong size new parts!

Unfortunately bought in March but was ill and wasn't able to fix it until October. After installation, the gears just turned and wouldn't turn on. I took the seal back down and compared the large gears. The new part was a fraction of an inch smaller and didn't always mesh fully with the smaller cog. lost time and money. Although beyond the normal return, hoping for a refund but not sure if the seller is still up for revain.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Generally good, but...

Good generic replacement

Less expensive generic replacement for compressor plastic parts. Fits well as intended. Installation (after disassembly) was easy and went smoothly. The instructions provided were minimal, but since you've likely already disassembled the gasket before ordering the part, this isn't considered a problem. Fit, workmanship and quality corresponded to the original parts. I hope I won't need it, but I will most likely buy it again.

  • Pleasing

No problem when changing gears

Everything works fine so far. I replaced the gears about an hour after the seal under the counter was removed. Adjusting the gears to fully engage before everything was secured was key to making sure everything worked well. If the gears are not fully engaged, they can shear off, leaving you without a working seal. I'll be adding more comments in a few months to see if the gears are working properly.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good, but could be better

The large pinion gear is smaller in diameter than the OEM gear which means the teeth do not fully mesh (as shown in the video Larry Snow uploaded). I found that there was enough play in the motor mounting holes to easily adjust the motor so the gears were fully engaged. If you don't make this adjustment, the gears will most likely break. I can only hope that the gears will last as long as the original gears (10 years). I'll try to update this review if the gears fail prematurely.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Out of date

Buyer Warning! Best in Compactor Parts & Accessories

I ordered this impeller kit to replace a impeller that broke in half on a kitchen help compactor that was less than 5 years old. The new drive took less than 6 months. When compacting the rubble, the machine suddenly became very loud, like a high-pitched crunch. Almost all of the teeth on the new drive gear are torn off and the seal no longer works. I suppose that's what happens when manufacturers use cheap crap for parts and parts dealers do the same. Disappointing. zero stars.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Broke in less than 5 months

I bought Lifetime Appliance Drive Kit 882699 for my Kitchen Aid Compressor. It failed less than 5 months after installation. The housing around the gear nut is cracked. However, I give Lifetime Appliance credit for their customer service. I didn't contact them but 2 days after I posted my review they emailed me asking for a photo and then sent me a replacement set. Probably from the same cheap Chinese manufacturer, so I'm pessimistic this crap won't last long. On the other hand, I'm very goodโ€ฆ

Junk - Most likely not to specification

Junk from China. The big gear wobbles a lot and only seems to be engaging with the small gear (and no, the shaft isn't bent - I checked). When I first ran it, the gears slipped and jumped 3 teeth at the bottom of the compact cycle. immediate gearbox damage. The small gear is about half a millimeter smaller in diameter than the original so bring back the old original gear and it works better but the gear is damaged so I expect to replace it again soon. I would happily pay twice as much for USโ€ฆ

Poor quality equipment. - Trash compactor parts and accessories

Replacement for the original mechanism that has fallen apart due to age. I put new gears in, ran the garbage collector 3 times, and then on the next compact cycle it started making horrible noises. Took it apart again to see the gears just don't mesh well and as soon as it comes under load the gears slip against each other. When the gears move you can hear "tick, tick, tick" in the video as the large gear now has a flat spot after it first slipped when we heard the horrible noise. I replacedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Unsafe
