lamps came quickly but one of them had a broken wire in the bulb. Easy installation. We were glad to have at least one that worked.

My GE built in microwave oven came with a factory bulb of only 20w - very weak. It's 50W, so a big upgrade. Use a cloth or paper towel to install - touching the bulb can significantly reduce its lifespan.

Not sure if this is a defect in the GE Microwave or the replacement bulbs. They are very difficult to install. You would expect that you could just press the pins and it would stay - you can't. Be prepared to fight it for at least 30 minutes before it works. Watch YouTube videos - they can help.

Went to a big hardware store twice and each time sent back the bulb because it was wrong. Another trip to the local hardware store and they didn't have bulbs like this. Eventually I checked out Revain (which I really should have). I got two bulbs for the price of one from one of the stores and they were the RIGHT size, wattage and very easy to install. And now I have something left for next time. Very satisfied.

Even when you look at the operating instructions and ask questions on the Internet, the light bulbs don't stay in their sockets. The manual mentions removing the bulb when removing the seal, but there doesn't seem to be a way to reseal it. The tape doesn't help. Apparently there is a version of the pear with stronger pins. At first I was struck by the packaging. My heart sank when I saw the envelope on the floor by the front door. At least it was a bubble envelope, but those are fragile lightbulbs. My fears were allayed when I saw that each bulb was bubble wrapped in a separate box, with two separate boxes inside a strong bubble-lined box. Wearing gloves to avoid touching the bulb, I stuck it under my GE Profile microwave. . It works on both light and dark layers. So far, so good! I will update if I encounter any
