Update 01/20/20 Both bulbs have burned out and no longer work. Easy to install and good looking. Fits perfectly on the 2001 VW Passat.

Very clean bright look. A cheap upgrade that makes a big difference. So bright it's even easier to see from behind on your backup camera if you have one, it's almost like an enhanced backup light.

Had to adjust them a bit as they are bigger than the original lamp body but my goodness they are so bright! I'm not saying they're too bright because I want them to be as bright as possible, but some people might think so. Overall a super cool product, good price and works great!

Update: They are pure white and much brighter than the standard models. Five months have passed and the LEDs are still working perfectly. I haven't bothered to look at the part numbers, but I'm pretty sure Ford uses the same lightweight model for many cars. I saw them and recognized the bottom clamp they were using and I hoped they fit my 2016 Ford Expedition the way they were made!

It's awful that I have to say this, but it's sooooo nice that they don't throw bulb bugs! Just pay attention to the contacts during installation and you will be happy. Unfortunately you have to use Audi screws on the original headlights which I believe were designed to remove the Phillips heads on the first attempt at removal. Bit #1 with a ratchet/nozzle worked best for the screws, but I removed the first one with a screwdriver.

One of my license plate lamps was burned out and I figured I could just replace it. So after struggling with the case to pull the bulb out, it broke! So now I have to replace the whole knot. Saw this light, read all the great reviews and bought it. Man was I not disappointed! These lights are just a maze! Super bright but not too bright. The sign is very easy to read with no problems. Very low price for an amazing upgrade.

VERY bright in my opinion. Also on my Audi A8 '05 they didn't fit without some trimming. I had to drill holes for the screws a bit to get the head of the Audi screw into the recess and I had to file down some edges to make it fit, but only on the left headlight. Maybe it was just my car. However, they seem to be well made and there have been no error messages on the dashboard so far. It's just damn bright. If only they were half as bright, 4 stars. I will buy CREE bulbs that fit the original…

I received the Lightdu LED License Plate Light Unit X001RTM72N. I'm a senior electrical engineer working on a custom license plate. I noticed a discrepancy between what is shown in the first photo of the LED lens and the actual specs. The lens is 13.5V 2.0W CE, ie 13.5V (DC) and 2.0W, European compliance.
