Wouldn't buy again.

This product looks much better on pictures than in reality. Looks like a $40 fan. I had to disassemble the part to install it. The instructions were almost useless. It works and releases more air than I thought it would. I don't recommend buying it for home use, it looks cheap. It would be nice in the barn.

Slightly misleading: lighting and ceiling fans

In the pictures it looks white, colorful and a little whimsically futuristic. However, the images used to sell the item are overlays instead of fans installed in the room. The actual color of the fan was a dead gray, and the case itself was made of plastic that felt very cheap and brittle. Didn't want to hang it up and went back. Although it looks like it, it wasn't worth the price due to its shape, color, cheap aesthetic, and misleading images.

Rubbish don't waste your money

Instruction was a joke, this is a picture showing how to connect white wire to white wire and black wire to black wire, that's all, no instructions. So whoever has no knowledge will be lost. I work from home so luckily I didn't need any instructions. When I installed a backlit fan, the fan stayed on but the light didn't come on at all. It smelled like burning so I unhooked it and returned.

A good upgrade from what it was.

I bought this to replace an ugly old chandelier in my mother's dining room. She now has better lighting and airflow. It was easy to install. My mom's neighbor came over and we both installed it in about 20 minutes. The only tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver. It's flush with the ceiling, which in my mother's case means it's at a slight angle (no bracket or angle adapter included if needed), otherwise works great.

The live/hot wire is the brown wire and the neutral/common wire is the blue wire.

The fan was easy to install. I used the screws that came with it to attach it to the overhead switch box. I'm not sure why others have said they can't, but it's ok for me. The installation problem was that the connecting wires in this fan are brown and blue, not UL standard. I had to contact the manufacturer and he provided instructions.
