Good bedding - better odor free

I have four cats and one is particularly picky about bedding. For example, after I switched to a light bedding, which *I* liked, she peed on the bed, so I got the message loud and clear and switched back to sand. This filler, OTOH, seems like a good compromise. The texture is similar to clay, but there is no dust, it clumps well. So far I've mixed it with clay, but I've used it enough to have a good idea of its properties. The only thing I don't like is the smell. I usually prefer an unscentedโ€ฆ

Light weight has its pros and cons

Love the idea of a lightweight litter and our six cats didn't mind and took to it immediately. This product does not dust and clumps well. 17 pounds equals 34 pounds of regular weight padding and is easy to carry. However, the lightweight spatula slides too easily. Sticks to cat's paws. We first put it in a box a dozen feet from our bedroom, but immediately realized there was a lot more litter left on our bed than with regular litter. We moved this crate to a room behind the kitchen where theโ€ฆ

Scented and odor spreading

I feel so bad about leaving a negative review, so let me upfront by saying that if you and your cats don't mind scented litter, this litter is actually good is working . My cats even went straight to use which is good as they are not used to scented litter and usually use clay litter. So the fact that they accepted it is a positive thing. However, in my opinion as beloved parents. I really liked this kitty litter but I wasn't expecting it to be scented. I personally don't like a fragrance thatโ€ฆ

Scooping Has No Resistance - Ultralight

Clumping wasn't the best. Sometimes it stayed intact, sometimes it crumbled. It took a little longer than usual to clean and sometimes it stuck to the dustpan. Odor control was ok. Sometimes we noticed the smell and other days it was more hidden. We changed it every night and there was enough bedding for a month. It lasted a month and we never had to throw it away and replace it. Our old litter had a strange smell after 2 weeks and we had to replace all the litter with a new one. I onlyโ€ฆ

Perfume smell, little clumping

This cat litter surprised me with its scent of perfume. The product description seems to imply that it doesn't have an artificial scent as it just says it contains an "odor resistant deodorizing system" and doesn't give any other information about the scent, but it definitely has an artificial scent. The ingredients listed appear to be deliberately vague ("natural wood-mineral product with deodorizing system"). This really worries me as my cats scratch and inhale this. I don't like the ideaโ€ฆ

  • Made from natural, renewable raw materials, dust-free and low-spreading
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Absorbs effectively and clumps easily but has an odd smell

This clumping light Champs litter was initially ignored by my cat. I made the mistake of putting all of this litter in the bowl as the previous litter he used had a different smell. I quickly realized that in order for my picky cat to get used to this new litter, you have to mix half of this litter with half of the previous one. As with anything else, you'll need to teach your kitty something new if you want him to use it. I definitely smelled a strange odor emanating from this new pen when Iโ€ฆ
