Years ago I finally had to replace the lightbulbs that came with my softbox kit. They are longer and much brighter. Two can easily do the work of four. Unfortunately they are quite fragile and I have already lost one to a violent toddler.

Much more than I expected. I take photos as a hobby and these lamps are perfect. So when it came time to grow seedlings for the new gardening season, I decided to see how they would perform as seedling lights. Perfect. I had almost 100% germination of the pepper seeds within a few days and the little guys were over the moon. Multipurpose, great product.

Bought these to see if they would work with my 4 light adapter in my softbox lighting kit. They all fit and are just as bright if not brighter than my 85w and 105w fluorescents I bought from Revain. That tells me the rest of the 85w and 105w bulbs are fake. I have a couple of true 105 watts that are the brightest and are at least an inch or two larger, but I bought them from a camera store, not Revain.

I needed to replace my TD5 and was a little worried about "you get what you pay for". They arrived in a huge box and were packaged really well with 2 bulbs in 2 long boxes and separate boxes and then in hard plastic and finally with a gasket around the bulb. A single box was slightly dented but the bulb was fine with the hard plastic. These guys are bright. And with 4 of them you get over 1k of light. The CFLs fall off a bit so they don't get as bright as the HMI 1k, but they're great for small

Let's start by saying that this was my second order. These lightbulbs are great. I once needed 12 regular lightbulbs in my basement and the light was still dim, now just 4 make my basement feel like real daylight. Wow, even though the plants don't grow in the light, my veg and flower seedlings grew better, stronger and bigger in mid/late winter in preparation for spring planting in the garden.
