This material is great for repairing old books

This adhesive is great for repairing book seams (from the inside) to prevent the spine from collapsing and pages falling out. I work with many books from the 19th century; Seam tears are a common problem. I work for a small private library that doesn't have much money for a professional renovation. This glue prevents the books from falling apart. After drying, it becomes invisible. It has some elasticity or plasticity - it does not dry out completely, so it moves with the spine of the book.

Does the job!

I used this glue to repair torn/split bindings on old paperback books. While some reviewers report receiving bottles of hardened glue, this wasn't an issue for me. The thin nozzle on the bottle is very useful for applying beads of glue to the narrow areas of paperback bindings. Leaving it for a few hours gave good results. I recommend covering the neck of the bottle with saran wrap after each use to slow drying, rinsing the spout with warm water to keep glue residue from building up in it, and…

Excellent adhesive for professional repairs

I first discovered this product while repairing some of my old books. Certain volumes that I ordered had spines that were loose or had holes in the dust jacket that threatened to grow over time.
