Switch incorrectly connected: Footswitch

The switch's NO and NC terminals were opposite markings. The switch was wired incorrectly during manufacture. Once the switch was used against its markings, the switch worked fine. I give 2 stars because of the lack of quality control during production.

Pros
  • Controls and Indicators
Cons
  • Expensive

Test before installing!

Training Switch, works great and is easy to press. It rattles a bit, maybe adding some foam or lube inside will fix that. The NC/NO switch contacts inside were incorrectly labeled. Now I have to disassemble it to re-solder the wires as my horns keep burning!

Pros
  • Footswitch
Cons
  • Crumpled

exhaust brake switch?

Replaced the pacbrake foot switch in my 2000 Monaco Dynasty RV with one of these. It was clear that the original Pacbrake footswitch was an OEM version of the Linemaster compact footswitch. The original switch failed due to a high resistance in the on position, resulting in a low voltage going to the relay that controls the engine brake. Rewiring the settings wasn't an easy task as the "Normal On" settings and "Normally Off" were changed elsewhere in the schematic. Just had to look into theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Industrial switch
Cons
  • boring packaging
