🔧 Enhance Shifting Performance: Acuity Shift Linkage Bushing Upgrade for Honda Civic Si, Civic (MT), and Honda Fit (MT) Review

I heard on the Civic Online forum that they make a big difference to the new (2017+) Civic Si. I fitted a set of bushings and to be honest I'm not sure I noticed a difference. It might be noticeable on cars with 75,000+ miles, but on a car with 16,000 miles I wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless I installed it myself. Good quality but nothing I would change unless you really feel you need it, which in truth you probably don't.

Easy to install if you don't have a vent. Also, I've seen reviews where people couldn't install a smaller locking ring without a lot of hassle. I struggled for a few minutes and then realized my mistake was trying to break it like a big one. It's built like a key ring, so you can spread it around the groove as you walk, and it's much easier. Just like putting a key on a keyring, pull the end out and put it in the groove, then just keep walking.

First, there are several Acuity parts in my car, and each of them has made an amazing change in either the look or feel so far You have an aging Honda like mine with a slightly sloppy derailleur. This is the best product you can buy to make your derailleur feel even better than new. It's pretty easy to install, and Acuity has amazing how-to videos on how to install all of their details. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the best shift feel in their Honda or Acura.

I absolutely feel the difference. I can tell that before the bushings were installed it felt like a rubber ball bounced off when shifting. This is my daily driver, only 55k and well worth the money. Had a little trouble installing on my 2015 Civic Si due to the o-rings not being lubricated but a little penetrating oil solved that problem. I hollowed out the plastic part of the derailleur bushing pretty well trying to get it in, but the company assured me it would be fine and explained their rigorous testing process. Amazing installation responsiveness. The car shifts as it should with no play or backlash when in gear. Worn out shifter bushings are no joke as they will definitely affect synchronization which is expensive to replace. $70 is a saving for long-term reliability and shift feel. I installed these on my 2015 si hoping to get a lot of dirt off the derailleur, I installed them on the car and found that the hole in the larger bushing was at least 20,000 inches larger than that pin on the gearbox. I have almost more play than original OEM bushings. The hole needs to slide to clear all that dirt. I measured the needle and it is indeed the right size and shows no signs of wear. Used these bushings in my 13 Civic Si. They do what they're supposed to do. Shifting feels more precise and not as sloppy. The Shifter is currently sold out.
