Nice lightweight tripod but not for mountain biking.

I've looked at many gooseneck tripods but settled on this one because of the quick release buckle and locking screw position. We have a Galaxy S20 Ultra phone in a rugged Amardillo Tek case. It fits snugly in the phone mount when fully extended, but no more. The S20 is a big phone with a heavy body. This tripod supports the phone in both landscape and portrait modes. Nice, secure, flexible tripod that I love to use with my iPhone 11 Pro

I have tested many goosenecks including the ball and socket and this is the best I have found. This is attached to my trekking pole (see picture). It was really secure and when hiking I plan on keeping it attached most of the time, just snapping the phone holder in place and using my pole as a monopod. Good product!

I bought this to use with my phone so I probably don't get full use of it. I think I'm pretty close. STRUCTURE: It seems very strong! The leg covers are really, REALLY grippy and flexible. Now I can bend it into different shapes. I've managed to attach it to a vertical metal rod about 1" in diameter and I'm sure it will work on any other material with a little less friction.
