I bought this knowing I wasn't going to use a switch or plate. I installed a USB voltage sensor and a 12V cigarette lighter socket in a switch panel I made for my truck. The pressure gauge is ok. I mean it works. The problem with this is that the screw holes are so close to the working parts that there is no room to insert a screw without punching through the hole made for the panel. You have to use it with wood or something - I've used it on fiberglass with teak in between - a total failure.
