Small fit at the waist. However, I was very satisfied with the quality of the pants. My son has worn them to many outdoor scout events and they have kept him warm and dry.

We were only out in the snow for about an hour and the pants my son was wearing underneath got wet in places, especially around the knees. He didn't complain and said they were warm, but I was disappointed that they weren't as waterproof as I expected. I hope a Scotch Guard will solve the problem.

I ordered a 16/18 for my 13 year old based on the measurement guidelines for this product. When it arrived I was worried they would keep my son's feet warm. They are fleece lined so not as bulky as traditional snow pants but my son was warm in them. They don't have an elastic bottom but fit nicely over his shoes.

I really like these winter pants, all the pockets and colors available. It would be ideal if it had a zip and button as you really need to stretch your waist over the base layer so you don't wear your pants in public. I think my daughter worries about fooling around in her class.

Due to age and height, we ordered a large size, but it is too small. I think the pants are just mislabeled and are actually a medium. We will send them back and can order a large again to see if they send pants that fit the sizes listed. The inseam of these pants is approximately 21 inches, not 29 inches as it should be. They aren't very thick so I'm not sure they will keep my son warm.

We have many other more expensive waterproof garments that last longer than 5-10 years; Therefore, I would only use these waterproof children's trousers for one season. In short, you get what you pay for. It's cheaper than big brands and doesn't last as long.
