It's so big I have no idea what kind of shoes people wear for running or other sports. Maybe boots or some kind of wide shoes, but not your usual shoes. I couldn't do what I thought I could do. I went to Walmart and bought their ankle brand Ace Sleeve for $2.99. So far, so good. I can wear and walk in all shoes with it. They also work with the development team to improve the product. All I can say is this boot saved my ankles, my sleep, my shoes and my peace of mind. I broke my leg a few years ago. And recently it broke again in the same place, only this time I had no idea until my ankle started to swell, not just the ankle, the entire top of the foot looked like I had an elephant foot. The instructions didn't help me at all. In fact, they confused me so much that I almost sent the product back.
