🦁 Lion Brand Heartland Yarn Sequoia: Luxurious and Versatile Fiber for All Your Creative Projects Review

I love Lion yarn! Heartland is the perfect choice for knitting gifts - hats, scarves, mittens and so on. I think it would be great for an Afghan as well. It is hard-wearing, silky soft, inexpensive and easy to care for. In this case, I was disappointed with the color. In the photo I was expecting a light red heather, but in fact the color is very light pink.

I absolutely love heartland yarn. Most of them are more fall colors - deep, rich and make beautiful scarves and hats. This pink inspired me to create an afghan canvas for kids while "Baby Yarn - Baby Pink Pastel" never did. The quilt I made was sold before I made the 4″! Bought NOT for a newborn but for her 5 year old daughter for outdoor exercise!

This product does not match the description at all. I ordered Pinnacles which look like a deep forest teal but the Pinnacles color that arrived is bright turquoise and looks like a 12 year old girl's favorite color. There is nothing earthly in it. The yarn is also not the same size as described for this color on Lion Brand's website. Lion BRand says Hometown USA yarn requires a 9mm hook, but this yarn requires 6mm. Very upset that I wasted $8. I'm trying to get my money back for this crap.

It arrived as a seemingly harmless ball of yarn that I paid almost $10 for when I had previously paid $5.99 at a craft store for the same color and brand. As luck would have it, we only needed one more skein to complete this project and this color seems to fall right into the fall color palette. I selected Heartland National Parks yarn for the April 22nd March of Science. I ordered 4 pieces from the Heartland collection: Denali (pink), Joshua Tree (dark gold), Glacier Bay (dark turquoise), and Kings Canyon (dark evergreen). The Denali pink is pretty close to the photo, but I'd say it's a bit darker and colder, so less salmon and a bit more maroon.
