Bamboo Wood Flatware Organizer with 7 Compartments by Lipper International - 12x17.5x1.75 inches Review

I'm not keen on this but it does the job. It's big, but it also has a lot of compartments, which means less space. The bottom is thin but I use it for dishes so I don't need it to move or hold anything heavy. Remember that the 3 compartments you see above are not as long as the 3 below. Maybe half an inch or so.

While the overall quality of the tray is good, I was disappointed to learn that only one long compartment was enough for my butter knives - which I think I should have measured. More importantly, while I was initially happy with my $16.24 price tag, I felt cheated when the item arrived with the original "World Market" UPC label clearly stating the price of $12.99 was.

I was really hoping it would work as my cutlery organizer - it has the perfect number of compartments for my full cutlery and serving set. Unfortunately, larger forks, spoons and a knife did not fit in the smaller of the six compartments. A bit disappointed as it was the perfect tray size to fit in my drawer. I had to send it back and send it back. I will say that this might be a good option if your cutlery is shorter.

Shaft configuration was different than pictured. Parts are detachable but creating 7 compartments as shown is literally impossible. It was like solving a jigsaw puzzle to make it work as intended. I eventually got this working, but was only able to create 5 awkwardly shaped compartments big enough to fit my cutlery. Also, some parts were already separated when I received it. Very disappointed. Go with another product.

I agree with other reviews that the bottom is thin but that's not a problem for me. I have no intention of wearing anything. My small complaint is that the dividers don't go all the way and the tips of my knives keep slipping off. However, I wanted a tray for dinner and salad forks, regular and soup spoons, butter and steak knives and serving utensils - that's 7 compartments. I couldn't find another tray with so many holes that isn't too wide and looks good.

I got this because I couldn't find a cutlery organizer with at least 5 "normal” size cutlery compartments. I love that the 6 smaller compartments are slightly different sizes - 3 are slightly longer, 3 are slightly shorter - because they fit the knives perfectly. I would give that a 5 star BUT the base of this veneer is NOT bamboo - it came with some of the veneer already worn along the inside edge.
