Excellent Landing Gear Replacement

I just replaced both landing gear legs on my 2010 Forest River 30ft fifth wheel. They fit perfectly and work great. Very quiet, the motor does not run, the lift runs smoothly. In recent years I have noticed how loud and bumpy the climb was. I'm glad it's finished. This job was very easy, I'm willing to bet an RV shop would charge around $400.00 to $500.00 for the job. If yours makes a lot of noise and wobbles when you lift it, save some money and easily replace it.

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Volume

Top quality! Suitable for outdoor use

This is a very high quality product as Lippert has always been. Easy to install, although a very heavy part, but that is its advantage, expected and desired. Meets or exceeds the quality of my original RV chassis. Very simple and easy to install using common sense and safety practices. I changed mine in 30 minutes. Be sure to use a low quality 1/4" flanged bolt as a lock (supplied) through the input shaft. Otherwise the input shaft can break off. Mine was grade 5. If you happen to break it off…

SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE WITH USPS. PROBLEMS OF TIMELY DELIVERY.

Who it's for, I ordered the drive mount, driven mount and gearbox at the same time because my truck got stuck on the fifth wheel. It turned out that everything should come on the same day. It didn't happen so I had to attach the front brace and gearbox to get out of the truck. The main reason I ordered both sides was so I could have them delivered the same day. Now I have to take another day to put on the other side. This is not a review of the product but most of the issues I've had with USPS.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Perfect replacement part

Exact fit. Installation isn't easy, but it's not particularly difficult. The hardest part for me was loosening the bolts holding the block in place. The manufacturer of my RV, and possibly yours, installed the bolts the wrong way round, ie the bolts were used to secure the jack BEFORE attaching the skin to the RV. The result is that you can't get the bolt out without a lot of rude language, knuckle-scrubbing, and creative physics (which you'll have to do to replace the stand). It is possible…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
